Your new Role

We are seeking a technically skilled and passionate Data Scientist to join our international and dynamic Data Science department at AUTO1 Group Technology. AUTO1 Group is Europe's leading digital automotive platform. We revolutionise the used car market with our well-known brands Autohero, wirkaufendeinauto.de, and AUTO1.com. We are dedicated to leveraging cutting-edge technology to develop machine learning solutions that optimize our sales and processes.

As a Data Scientist at AUTO1 Group in the outflow sales team, you'll work on solving complex business challenges such as personalized recommendation, dynamic pricing for inventory cars, demand forecasting for used car markets, and finance risk prediction. You'll contribute to end-to-end development from prototyping solutions to deploying models in production. Working closely with engineers and product teams, you'll apply machine learning to support key decisions and contribute to AUTO1's growth.

Job Description

• Develop and deploy machine learning models to support vehicle selling optimization and demand management
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions
• Work alongside engineering and product teams to integrate Data Science outputs into the AUTO1 tech infrastructure
• Monitor model performance in production and communicate findings and next steps to relevant stakeholders
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices

Your Skills

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience with machine learning techniques, including traditional ML methods and neural networks
• Solid foundation in statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design (including A/B testing)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, and familiarity with at least one ML framework (PyTorch, Keras, or TensorFlow); experience with git/GitHub workflows
• Some experience contributing to data science projects across multiple lifecycle stages — from development through to production deployment; exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
• Good communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to technical peers and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborative mindset and fluent English communication
